2025 NATSICC Australia Day Statement and Reflection Discernment Guide

Australia Day is a complex day for many Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples. In our 2025 statement NATSICC calls for the need to be united as a Nation and to celebrate our Great Southern Land on a day that is inclusive of all.

For the first time, the council has created a resource for Catholics to use in Discerning and Reflecting upon what Australia Day means to them, and what it might mean to First Australians.
