In 2023 Australians will be called to vote upon enshrining an Indigenous Voice to Parliament in the Constitution. It is a moment where Catholics will need to call upon their foundation of faith and Catholic Social Teaching to make an informed decision on th future of Australia's First Peoples.
NATSICC has developed a foundational Online Cross Cultural Competency Course for all Catholic workers, volunteers, Clergy and Religious. It is the first ever Cross Cultural training with a Catholic Focus and will equip participants with the knowledge and skills to effectively engage with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples.

NATSICC is pleased to announce a number of worthy winners of the 2022 Service to Community Awards.
Each year the awards help us to meet and introduce meet new people that work quietly in the background, bringing the Gospel to life to those around them. Additonally, we are also belssed to be able to share their stories wiht the wider Church.

The peak body representing First Nations Catholics has invited fellow Catholics to make 2022 a year of action to “strengthen Australia’s foundations by supporting Australia’s First Peoples”.
The National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Catholic Council has issued a statement for Australia Day, reflecting on this year’s theme: Reflect. Respect. Celebrate.
The statement unpacks those three verbs and encourages people to consider a response as individuals and as Catholics.
Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples have faced adversity before, and COVID 19 is another challenge that we must face. In difficult times, we rely on each other to keep our spirits strong and now more than ever we need to use the resources around us to stay in contact with one another.
We have compiled some resources and information to help keep you and your community safe.
NATSICC is pleased to announce the launch of our new Palliative Care Packages project for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. Established to address a strong need, this project provides Packages to any Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander person (regardless of any or no religious beliefs) in the end stages of their life.
Care packs are available for any Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander person that needs them.
