Pilgrimage of Reconciliation

www.users.bigpond.com/lexicon/uluru.htm

To mark his 40 years as a priest, Dominican friar Peter Murnane is leading a 40-day pilgrimage by bicycle from Parliament House, Canberra, to Uluru, departing on 15 August. Six others will accompany him, including Aboriginal story-teller Phillip Yubbagurri Brown. The aim of the 2669 km effort is to remember 200 years of Aboriginal displacement, greet Aboriginal Communities on the way, say 'sorry' for stolen children and deaths in custody, and to connect with schools and churches en route.
